Browsing the Internet for free stuff can be overwhelming. Although there are literally hundreds, if not, thousands of companies willing to send you free samples of their products, there are also as many scams. These fake free stuff offers may have a few legitimate free sample offers sprinkled on their site, but for the most part, they are packed full of free stuff offers that require you to meet certain buying requirements to qualify. Their main purpose is to generate leads for mega advertising companies that sell your personal information to marketers who will plague you with spam and unwanted phone calls from telemarketers.
Usually they bait you with an offer of a free sample for a product you may know well. Who can resist right? So you go ahead fill in all your personal information, address, age, phone numbers and more. Oh yeah, did you remember to read the fine print at the very bottom of the page? You may have to get out the magnifying glass to read it. It probably said they have the right to sell all your demographic information to anyone they want and you need to buy several products to qualify to get your free sample. A pure rip-off.
Generally, the best free samples of real products are available on the company website. These well known companies that have spent millions of dollars building up their reputation and good name. They are interested in keeping their potential customers happy. So if you order a free sample from the company website, you should be guaranteed of getting your free product sample with no strings attached. Of course we should not forget that the reason these companies send free samples to your home is because they want you to become a new customer and potentially a repeat purchaser.
We do feel very strongly that a person should only order free samples that they have legitimate interest in. To just order a sample for the sake of it is, in our opinion, unethical. So please think before you shop for samples.
