Sample Review Free Perfume

Heading to the mall can be a task that is best left to others this time of year. But, in my case, I only wear a certain type of perfume that is found at one single store in the busiest mall in town, so avoiding the mall crowd meant that I just wore something I didn’t care for. So, I donned my running shoes, and hit the mall on the perfume quest.

While walking through the department store on my way in, I inevitably passed the perfume counter, which contained none of the brand that I liked (as I was heading to a different store). But, somehow, the perfume counter girls sniffed me out and one came running to block my way and force a small bag into my hands filled with about 15 different samples of perfumes. I smiled and told her “thank you”, thinking that I would just give them to my nieces when I got home. But, after an unsuccessful trip to the mall, which resulted in no perfume for me, I foudn myself dipping into the sample bag to see what was there. In the bag of samples, here is what I found:

1. Estee Lauder’s Pleasures - This small sample actually smelled great in the bottle. I tried a little on and gave it the husband test. He liked it, but said that it wasn’t as good as my normal brand. Ok, scrap that one for now, and put it in the emergency backup pile.

2. Cool Water Woman - This small, blue sample didn’t smell too bad, but when I tried some on, I immediately didn’t like it. So, this one didn’t even make it to the husband test before it was back in the bag.

3. White Diamonds - I could smell this sample before it got within two feet of my nose and I really didn’t care for how strong it was. I also didn’t care for the mixture of smells that reminded me of a cross between my grandmother (who I love very much) and a flea market. So, this one never got opened… it’s still in the bag.

4. Lucky Brand for Women - Alright, finally a sample that smelled good in the bottle and on me. On to the husband test. I barely got close to him and he said “Wow, you smell really good!” Winner!! This small, pink sample had won the coveted front row award in my medicine cabinet, and I have already told the husband that this is a good gift for me.

5. GLO by J.Lo. - This sample smelled really good in the bottle. I tried a little on and took it to the husband test. Although I thought I had put enough on, he couldn’t smell it. So, I headed back and put a little more on my wrist. It seemed to take a lot before he could actually smell it. And, even though he thought it was alright, I don’t know that I would spend a lot of money on a perfume that you can’t smell unless you bathe in it.

6. Seductive - This sample hit pay dirt! Not only did I love it when I smelled it, it passed the husband test with flying colors. In fact, he liked it so much that I found a new bottle of it on the dressed two days later.

7. Paris Hilton for Women - When I pulled this sample out of the bag and took a sniff, I was instantly reminded of the perfume that I normally wear. I dabbed a bit on my wrist and sniffed some more. Then it was on to the hubby test. He loved it as well, and while I didn’t find a new bottle of it on my dresser, I went out and purchased a bottle myself! In fact, I liked the woman’s version so well, that I took a sniff of the men’s cologne, and guess what else I purchased! So, out of all the sample perfumes that were in this bag, I did find a couple that were good enough to go out and buy. The beauty of the whole bag-’o-samples is that now, I have found two kinds of perfume that I absolutely enjoy, the husband loves, and I don’t have to brave the mall crowd to get it!
